Our Story
It all started on a cold December day, in a café in Bruxelles.
Since then, we’ve been each other's support, inspiration, and hope.
This autumn, we have the honour and delight to celebrate our bond, immersed in the rusty and radiant autumn colours, under the auspices of a medieval castle built in the 1600s,
together with people that we love.
The religious ceremony starts at 1:00pm in Brussels, at the Romanian Orthodox Church 'Sfanta Parascheva'.
We would advise guests arriving by car to be there 20 mins in advance to ensure parking around the church.
All guests are invited for this traditional celebration.
The main reception and celebrations will afterwards be held, from 3:30pm, at Château de la Rocq.
Getting There
For those attending the religious ceremony in Brussels and who do not have a car, transport will be organised to the Château de la Rocq.
The castle has free onsite parking.
A bit of history.
Of the original complex, built in 1390, only the square tower remains.
The other buildings were rebuilt in the 16th and 18th centuries by Lord Omer Lion d'Arquennes.
Château de La Rocq truly is a marvel. It is built of wood and stone and surrounded by serene woods and a flowing river.
The castle has stood the test of time, and witnessed many events, some more romantic than others.
It started its life as a medieval fortress, protecting the land from invasions and overseeing important routes.
In the early 19th century, it was occupied by Napoleonic forces. The strategic importance of the castle was recognized by Napoleon’s army, which transformed it into a military headquarter.
After seeing French occupation, later in World War I and again during World War II, the Château was occupied by German forces. After the end of the wars, the castle became a historical monument and a charming event location.
It also has a garden and courtyard, where we hope that the October weather will allow us to have our reception, before entering the castle for the main dinner celebration, followed by the dance party.

Accommodation options include Aparthotel Le Manoir Du Capitaine in Feluy.
This hotel is a 5-minute drive from Château de la Rocq, where the main celebrations will take place.
Possibility to book 1 or 2 nights, depending on your own preference and other arrangements.
Some reservations have been made (not paid), and will be assigned on request, with priority given to those travelling from abroad, older guests or guests with any special needs.
